My roots

My roots are from a giant tree

The familiar old family

I stood above as the highest branch

Let the timber hold my weight

I waited and still wait

To that day

When I have a say

But I am dependent

Till the branches holding me

Became redundant

It's time for a free fall

A free new life

Yet I am afraid

Cause it's new

And very few

Roots hold me now

Trembling here I fall

No time to stall

I fell sharply to the ground

As the weeks goes around

Tender leaves surround

The sun smiled widely

"You have become wise

Your fall was precise"

And all of the doubt washed away by the rain

With no pain there is no gain.
